🧠 Munger Observer

Second-Order on the Anthropic Intel: BM's value prop is operationalization ("leadership bought in but can't operationalize"). Second-order: Anthropic is now training L300 FDE partners at scale. The gap closes. BM compounds faster than certs commoditize the knowledge, or it becomes a staffing shop.

Opportunity Cost Alert: Yesterday was two confidential intel captures — zero output. The PE Day data ($3M→$46M, culture > tech) is most valuable while it's fresh. No Linear issues created, no deck update scheduled, no MJ follow-up locked. Intel decays in files.

Incentive Trap: The $8–12 services multiplier per $1 Anthropic spend is seductive. It rewards volume (more certs, more headcount) over IP. Firms that chase the multiplier end up as body shops. BM needs to decide now: certified staffing firm or AI-native consultancy with repeatable solutions?

"Show me the incentive and I'll show you the outcome." — Munger

🔗 Capture Themes (last 48h)

The Window Is Now — Work Much Harder
Tyler Cowen (Marginal Revolution), @garrytan (AI IQ democratization), Stratechery "Agents Over Bubbles"
All three independently arguing that the asymmetric window for operators who wield AI well is open right now — directly validates Dan's T1/T4/T5 thesis and the urgency of not sleeping on Squorum/Wick.tech buildout.
Agent Workflow Inversion
@danshipper (reverse pomodoros), @geoffreylitt (cloud vs local agent race), @trq212 (Claude Code skills architecture)
Human attention is now the bottleneck, not the compute. The agents-as-workers model is crystallizing with concrete patterns (skill archetypes, role-specific models, step-back discipline). Directly applicable to Mighty's own skill architecture and BM delivery model.
PE + Software Debt Cliff = BM Opportunity
carried_no_interest TBPN (PE debt cliff + AI specialists), @varshikaARK (marginal cost of entrepreneurship), @jamesclift (Durable business builder)
PE firms with 2021 vintage SaaS debt are now the exact buyers BM described in the Anthropic PE Day intel — they need AI specialists as a mgmt fee allocation. TBPN capture is hot: directly names BM's positioning as the emerging asset class.
Comprehension Debt as the Real AI Risk
Addy Osmani "Comprehension Debt" (hidden cost of AI code), @garrytan (/plan-eng-review skill insight)
AI-generated code accrues comprehension debt the original engineer doesn't understand. Relevant to BM's delivery quality bar and to Dan's "compound engineering" belief — move fast, but own what you build.

🐦 AI / Tech Signal

@Techmeme
Mystery 1T-parameter "Hunter Alpha" on OpenRouter since Mar 11 — likely DeepSeek V4 stealth test. Reuters
@Techmeme
Microsoft weighs legal action vs Amazon + OpenAI over AWS offering OpenAI Frontier — exclusivity question. FT
@OpenAIDevs
GPT-5.4 mini changes subagent economics — "parent thread holds architecture, workers handle execution." Role-specific smaller models now viable.
@romainhuet
54.4% SWE-Bench PRO, 60% T-Bench 2.0 performance at 2x speed. Coding agents benchmark crossing meaningful thresholds.
@tszzl (roon)
"SF tech sees automation as axiomatically good — this predates AI by decades. Most of a tech company is automating oneself out of a role." Garry Tan RT'd. Cultural framing thread.
@garrytan
/plan-ceo-review and /plan-eng-review skills get you 90% there. The act of creating a diagram shakes out bugs. Skill-driven spec discipline.
@paulg
Sebastian Mallaby got deep access to Demis Hassabis + DeepMind starting Nov 2022 (week before ChatGPT). Book incoming — "sharpness + access yields insights."
@karrisaarinen (Linear)
B2B customer proof tiers: Tier 1 = CEO mentions you unprompted in earnings call. Linear only shows Tier 4+. Worth internalizing for BM client storytelling.

🏙️ Twin Cities

@andybrehm
Minneapolis office market collapse: Ameriprise Financial Center sold for $6.25M (vs $200M in 2016, -97%). "Miami, Nashville, Austin are booming. City of Lakes is in steep decline. Governance matters."
@BusinessMN
Iran's closure of Strait of Hormuz disrupts global oil + LNG — energy market impact hitting MN industrial. River Tech Workplace in Fridley sold $29.65M.

🧩 Trending Skills

Skills.sh leaderboard active — top movers: microsoft/azure-skills (+21 installs, 136.9K total), pbakaus/impeccable (multiple entries, 12–19K each). Agent skill ecosystem growing fast. skills.sh/trending

Note: The @trq212 Claude Code skills architecture capture maps directly to this — BM could ship client-specific skill packs as a delivery artifact.
