💪 Mighty Brief

Notes: X leaders timeline came back empty on the raw pull, and the BM unread Gmail scan failed with Google reauth drift (invalid_grant / invalid_rapt). Shipping anyway.

Start Here

  1. AI knowledge gap is widening fast. Marc Andreessen's point is simple: awareness itself is now a competitive edge. That's less a hot take than a market condition. X
  2. AI is moving from productivity story to security story. Experian says 40% of the 5,000 breaches it serviced in 2025 were AI-powered, and expects agentic AI to lead breaches in 2026. X
  3. The labor market is starting to show the pressure. IT unemployment rose from 3.6% to 3.8% in April, with 13,000 jobs shed amid AI uncertainty. X
  4. Excel is becoming an AI substrate. Satya's line that Excel is edging toward “AI complete” is goofy on the surface and directionally correct underneath. X
  5. Politics is back to election machinery. The top memeorandum item this morning is a warning shot: governors who denied 2020 results could end up overseeing the 2028 election in swing states. memeorandum

BM

Unread scan for dan.wick@blankmetal.ai did not complete because Google auth drifted overnight. No clean inbox signal this morning.
The real BM picture still looks like sequencing, not scarcity. Open loops in memory say the active stack is Rally, HR&A, Tungsten, Great Hill, Sentinel, Orbis, Care Providers of Minnesota, and Edmunds Govtech.
That keeps the core tension intact: BM wins are still practical lift inside brownfield systems first, then deeper AI-native redesign later. The risk is spreading attention across too many warm threads and mistaking motion for leverage.

Munger Observer

Opportunity Cost: stale March tasks are still charging rent. If they're still on the board, they're still taking attention.
Margin of Safety: the dated Minnebar reference is stale, but the principle isn't. Protect slack before the day gets claimed.

Personal Thought

This feels like a pruning morning. The outside world is screaming acceleration. The better move is probably narrower: clear old loops, keep optionality high, and make one clean decision before the feed starts cosplaying as strategy.
