Start Here

  1. Micron hitting a $1T market cap is the cleanest market proof this morning that AI infra is still repricing upward, not normalizing. Memory is no longer a side story.
  2. AI agents starting to eat Big Four-style consulting work matters directly to Blank Metal. The wedge is not “do consulting with AI.” It is “use agents to make small teams feel unfair.”
  3. Every’s Codex-for-knowledge-work guide is worth a skim because the center of gravity keeps moving from chat UX to operator UX. The winners will be the people with repeatable workflows, not the people with the hottest prompts.
  4. Wired’s Claude Code / OpenClaw feature is another sign the agent stack has crossed out of niche dev Twitter and into mainstream tech narrative.
  5. Ken Paxton beating John Cornyn in the Texas GOP runoff looks like more evidence that institutional ballast keeps losing to movement energy. Worth tracking as a proxy for broader political mood, not just Texas.

BM

Live unread scan for dan.wick@blankmetal.ai failed again. gog gmail search --account dan.wick@blankmetal.ai 'is:unread newer_than:1d' --max 10 --no-input returned invalid_grant / invalid_rapt, so this section is grounded in standing context, not a fresh inbox pass.
Best strategic read from the morning feed: the consulting moat is shrinking from both ends. If agents let smaller teams absorb enterprise-grade workload, BM should lean harder into narrow, prove-it wedges where speed and operator taste beat seat count.
From MEMORY.md, the highest-signal open loops still look like Rally, Care Providers of Minnesota, and the Great Hill / Tungsten follow-up decisions. Translation: fewer threads, sharper proof, faster conversion.

Munger Observer

Opportunity Cost: the open loop list is still carrying stale March items. Old priorities are still taxing attention even when they are no longer the best use of focus.
Margin of Safety: the note in munger-latest.md is from May 1 and the Minnebar reference is stale, but the principle still holds: protect slack early so one surprise does not consume the whole day.

Personal Thought

The theme this morning is compression. Markets are compressing around infra winners, politics is compressing around movement candidates, and work is compressing around operators who can turn agents into systems. The question is not whether AI is getting stronger. It is whether your operating model is.
